The School Around Us Production of Mother Goose is Eaten by Werewolves by Steph DeFerie
This delectable spoof for all ages has been updated and "modernized" for today's audiences. The wacky, fast-action farce reveals for the first time how the Wolf helped the Prince locate Sleeping Beauty's castle.
Mother Goose is no fool. As soon as she discovers real werewolves are in this production, she makes a break for it and it looks like our show's over before it's even begun. But wait! Four adventurous audience members -- a fairy godmother, a witch, a prince, and a wolf -- save the day by acting out their own versions of Sleeping Beauty. Unfortunately each person wants to tell their own side of the story! Along the way you'll meet a host of other colorful characters such as Philodendron, Malodendron and Rotodendron. See a shower of spindles, hear vines talk, and vote in a wild Beauty Contest. Of course everyone ends up happily ever after -- except Mother Goose.
School Around Us students and teachers are immersed in a theater unit for 6 weeks every spring. Children actively gain skills in literacy, collaboration, confidence, self-esteem, creative expression, time management, communication, commitment, and so much more!
Mother Goose is Eaten by Werewolves by Steph DeFerie is produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc.
